you never think it'll be you. until you're staring at the black eye staring back at you. you'll question, how did i get here? stillness eventually forces you to face the truth. the heated arguments. the gaslighting. the manipulation. the cruelty. each domino falling until the facade collapses.

i'm the 9-to-5 tech girlie. thirteen years in insurance, an AI product manager by day — who happens to be a writer, a vibe coder, and someone who can't stop starting creative projects.
from the day my mom found my diary in middle school to my thirty-something self today, i've had an iphone and a stack of notebooks full of the same thing: me, writing it down. somewhere along the way i realized not every experience was meant to stay between me and God. some of them were meant for my community.
since then: i've moved states more times than i planned. started an open mic that's still running today. been on a few tv shows. built a children's publishing house. and this is my second poetry book.

the first collection. about self-discovery: written while it was still happening, a black wombman's journey back to herself.
